Indian International Mohammed Rafi bagged the VP Sathyan Award 2010 given away by the Kerala Sports Persons Association (KESPA), Chennai.

Rafi from Trikaripur in Kasargod had also won the 'Best Indian Player of the Year' award at the Football Players Association of India (FPAI) Awards last month.

The awards ceremony will take place at the ICF Club, Chennai on October 24, 2010. India's volleyball team captain and Arjuna Award recipient KJ Kapil Dev will also be felicitated in the function, informed KESPA President, Shiney Wilson and  General Secretary AV Joseph.

There has been rumors that a Portuguese football club is in talks with the striker and Rafi could be playing abroad soon! The player who is on national team duty has a contract with I-League club Churchill Brothers.
