Viva Kerala goes down to JCT

JCT scored their first win of the season in I-League 2010-11 as they defeated Musli Power X-tra Viva Kerala 1-0 at Ludhiana on Wednesday.

Viva Kerala, coming from a string of 1-1 draws, looked to find their first win of the season at Punjab but Sukhwinder Singh's boys proved tough to handle for the Kerala side. After a goalless first half, the game looked to settle for a stalemate.

But the fatal blow came just 5 minutes into the second half. It was Maninder Singh who scored for JCT in the 50th minute against the flow of the game. Viva Kerala, trialing by a goal, intensified their attack but eventually went down to the lone goal.

JCT, after their first win of the season has moved on par with Viva Kerala in the points table with four points. This was Viva Kerala's second defeat this season.
