Babu re-elected as the president of Ernakulam DFA

K Babu, Excise Minister of Kerala, was re-elected as the president of Ernakulam District Football Association (EDFA) in the annual general meeting held at Kochi last week. P Paulose replaced CC Jacob as the Secretary of the Football Association.

It was also decided in the meeting to nominate Babu and KMI Mather, President of Kerala Football Association (KFA), to the executive committee of the KFA. One of the nominees will be selected to the KFA executive committee, while the other will contest for one of the seven office bearers post in the upcoming elections of the KFA in September.

The September elections will be the first under the new system after KFA amended its bylaws recently and brought in major chances to bring in professionalism in the set-up.
