Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, the top division in the Brazilian football league, will hit the television sets of Kerala in the coming season, thanks to the Asianet Satellite Communications Limited who will broadcast the football league in their channels Rosebowl and Asianet Cable Vision (ACV).
The world famous football league, that produces footballing legends like Pele and Ronaldo, is being distributed in India by Globo TV Sports and facilitated by Total Sports Asia. The service that has already been available in West Bengal will now be watchable in Kerala that has a enormous number of fans for the Brazilian national team. Brazilian league, where an average of three goals per match is being scored, can be compared to any foreign football leagues available in India now, said TSA in a press release.
Asianet Satellite Communcations president Sankaranarayana said, "Football is close to every Keralite and Brazil being synonymous with football in Indian minds, it was imperative for us to have the league made available to our audience. Every time Brazil plays in the World Cup, Kerala goes crazy; we intend to recreate that spirit over an entire season. For a league that is just about entering the Indian market, we are expecting a great response from the audience thanks to the popularity of last year’s Fifa World Cup and the buzz surrounding the next World Cup in Brazil."
