Kerala Blasters sign English duo Andre Green and James Bolton

Kerala Blasters have added English duo Andre Green and James Bolton to their squad ahead of the new Indian Super League season.

Green, 28, is a winger who began his professional career at Aston Villa, making his senior debut for the club in the English Premier League in 2015.

He went on to play for several English clubs, including Portsmouth, Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton Athletic and Rotherham United.

The former England Under-20 international has also spent time abroad with Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia, Panserraikos in Greece and most recently AVS, for whom he made five appearances during the 2025-26 Primeira Liga - the Portuguese top flight.

Bolton, 32, joins Blasters after spending all of his career in the United Kingdom - most of it coming in the English lower divisions and a lone season in Scotland with St Mirren.

The centre-back has played for Shrewsbury Town, Exeter City, Portsmouth, Plymouth Argyle and Fleetwood Town, for whom he made 20 apprances last season in League Two - the English fourth division.

Green and Bolton will now link up with head coach Ashley Westwood as Blasters prepare for the new ISL season. They face Inter Kashin in their season opener on Sunday, 11 October.

The two new signings add to the five transfers they made since UAE-based sports and sports tech-consortium Al Fursan took over the running of the club.
